After I get it Magnafluxed, tanked and milled, should gasket sealer be used on the head gasket. I can get a NOS copper gasket or a composite gasket. Either one better than another? Finally, any idea on torque for the head bolts? Manual says to tighten, run to operating temp and retighten. | | |

What diameter are the head bolts? Are they new or old?

Due to the age and value of the head, I'd also tighten 4 or 5 times instead of the usual 3. Lube the bolts with motor oil, or anti-sieze. If anti-sieze is used, reduce torque values by 10%.
