How difficult is it to replace the side window glass? My passenger side window has been cracked for some time and I'm tired of looking at it. Which parts vendor is the best for glass? Or, should I just try a local glass place?

Local glass place .

It's a pretty easy job, but you have to remove the wing vent assembly to get the window out. (This is where you turn an easy job into a weekend-long event) Once you have the vent assembly off of the truck, you might as well take it apart, and put in new glass and new rubber seals. And you will need new glass channels, new rivets for the vent seals, etc.
And a little paint on the division bar would look nice too.

I did mine with no problem, so it can't be too hard. The thing I was most worried about was getting the vent off of the door, but luckily it wasn't rusted on.
I got my vent glass from Chevy duty and the door glass from LCM, and both were very nice. I think LCM sells all of the channels and misc. window liner parts in a kit.

Yea take the old one and get a local glass place to cut it.Should be cheeper also.You'll need to get some glass set tape.Also note where the glass is located as to the metel retainer.Soak/keep wet with gasoline the area where the glass is in the chanel took a couple of days for mine to turn loose.Just kept putting a small amount of gas on it.Don't force it or you'albend the chanel.also don't forget it has a inside and a up and down side. Good luck.

id take them the window and let them reset it.
