Am I right or FOS? I once had something, but have recently crashed and lost lots of links. I have a 5spd from that other "F" brand and want to know what it is w/out crawling under truck and cleaning/scraping off. It IS cold/wintery here now, you know! Most F trucks have New Process or Warner tranny's but this one looks more like a Clarke according to the old trans section in my 61-71 all brands manual. It has the same casting bosses and features, cept the PTO is on other side from mine, but all F's have them on right and most others were on the left for that. SO, any ideas? Maybe I'll have to use a Big truck site as these weren't in the p/ups.

Uses an 11 inch clutch disc and heavy duty coil spring pressure plate. Was usually in larger 70, 80, and up series GM trucks. Also usually set up with hydraulic clutch/special bellhousing with fork/slave cylinder on starter side. The countershaft sits directly below the mainshaft in the case. Also about 2 times the physical size as the SM 420, weighed about 175 lbs. Has large imput shaft, about 1 5/8 inch 7 spline I think. Had six bolt PTO mounts on both sides of case. This could be it. May also be a Rockwell trans as they were special order items to IHC, GM and F%$#, in the larger 1.5 to 2 ton 4WD units Don't know about the website. You;ll have to research this one!!
Houston? , We have a problem!
