so i finally got a new frame for my rear ended 63 shortbed. however, it is a longbed. now before you flame me for this, it was sandblasted, painted, has new springs, real nice. that was the real reason, and ontop of that, it was only a 4 hour drive from my house to pick it up. anyway, im no welder, and neither is my dad, and we dotn know any so im asking if anyone knows a shop around Maryland or Virginia(preferably no more than like an hour from the DC metro area) that would be able to take out the 12 inches to make it a shortbed. even if one of you fellow bolters that lives nearby would be willing to if you have welding experience and something to cut the frame. i would keep it a longbed but i already got some nice bedsides for it and i love the shortbed look. thanks guys.
