Well this is almost too much good news at once. The 'burb has cleared the bay doors and done a once around the block with colors flying. No leaks, fires, explosions or breakdowns. I'm so happy I feel a great lightness of being. Old iron as zen master, "You must be patient, Grasshopper. He who perseveres is rewarded in time"

Eeegads Peg, I'm going to wait until the Barrett-Jackson show in Jan. 2007 to make the story complete. But the feeling of driving a vehicle that feels more like a haybaler at speed and sounds like a giant blender on wheels is something no one should miss.

Wow, that's fantastic! Glad to see there's a happy ending to this story.

If I'd spent that much time and effort, and then had the proof of my effort and skill embodied in a vehicle like that, I don't think I could bear to sell it!

I don't think I could just sell it either. Attendeing and auctioning it at the country's premiere auction house is a different kettle of fish though. I want desperately to see two very rich old men try to recapture their youth and steal the other guy's in front of thousands of people, by running the purchase price through the roof. It's the one thing that will make all that work worthwhile.
