It's got over 65,000 miles on it. Just a few of these miles have been with a heavy foot  ! There have been no problems at all with the clutch and I would buy another without hesitation. Hope this helps you out some.

Most of the ones I've run across seem to be more of a work model, vs. the Camino, which seems to be a little more dressed. Mine originally was a 229v6, 3spd floor shift, bench seat, non-a/c model. As for car or truck, I think that is a long debated question and depends who you talk to  !

#21094 09/03/2002 11:46 AM | Joined: Jun 2001 Posts: 85 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2001 Posts: 85 | I have a Centerforce II clutch on my '71 Jimmy 4x4 behind a 350 (sorry guys) V-8. It works fine and has been a daily runnner since Jan '99.
I did have trouble acquiring their [proprietary] recommended throw-out bearing and went with a new GM one because I was in a hurry to get on the road. Worked great at half the price. But that was the only gripe.
Any issues with clutch linkage were with my Hedman Hedders being in the way of the clutch rod and had nothing to do with Centerforce.
I'm thinking of putting a Centerforce behind my 292 when I rebuild it for the '68 stepside.
Every 25 years I like to rebuild that 292 just for GP
