They are "huck" type, inch and a half bore. Parts books seem to stop (going back) at '46. Will the '46 and up work? What is the difference between '42 and '46? After stumbling around on the web, the many links found here all seem to be more focused on the half ton trucks. How about a good link to a vendor that knows the big old trucks?

However I saw small notices on sites such as Carter's that said we do have parts for the larger trucks, call us. I guess the catalogs are for the large demand items.

Will have to send a message... I think it costs around $85 plus shipping to sleeve a large bore wheel cylinder. It's a good investment since new ones that old (huck style) and large bore are very hard to find. Right now I would be happy to find a couple core castings to send off for sleeving. Then I would have them onhand when the hubs and drums come off. There is nothing worse than getting the truck in pieces without the parts to put it back together.

Chevy Duty has some listed, cheapest of bunch. SEems like one little thing or year or ? was diff from mine. I have a number here for obsolete parts place, needs to have GM part # to find/look in stock. It's Vintage Parts, Beaver Dam, WI 1-877-vintage or 1 877-846-8243 Lots easier to find Obsolete parts places for old Phords than GM's. Why is that? Also, try Bow-tie Bits, he's done me good on other big truck parts, has used and NOS sometimes. Let the rest of us know. Oh, I think the cylinders are all the same up to 50 on most big trucks. I'm thinking sleeving is more money than NOS parts, just you don't have to look for them. Some sleever's use stainless, others like White Post use brass. Either better?

(part # 5300885 if that helps) The trend seems to be to sleeve in stainless as that material does not score as easily as the brass does. And yes they are the same '37 - '50.

I got my #'s from OlBlue on this page. The #'s given above are right. Anything in yards is gonna be too pitted to use, you'll need new or sleeved for those.
