| | | | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 166 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: May 2006 Posts: 166 | I was just going to try to lift my truck for the first time. I am using a 2-post lift and discovered I need extensions to clear teh running boards, but that is another subject.
I also noticed that the rear eye of both front springs is busted. The front shackles have swung full forward and the rear of the springs are setting against the front of the shakle mount. If I try to lift the truck, the whole front suspension is going to want to rotate forward. Has anybody ever had this dilema? Any ideas?

If you plan on driving it you must do something about those springs.
You can go to a spring shop and have the main spring replaced and the remainders rearched for 200+ dollars.
You could find a set used on this site or elsewhere. Lots of people are installing IFS and getting rid of their old springs.
I'm sure someone will come up with some other options.
