The 41-46 box is a direct bolt in - no alterations, no cutting - it just bolts in and it is a circulating ball steering box - arguably the best type of steering box made. They were used on the early Chevy cars, the early Mustangs and others. That's what you need to give you the best steering box for your truck, unless you are going to a clip front end or go to a custom made street rod front end.

I got mine free from someone doing a IFS conversion. It is a truck steering box.
I'm going to go see if I can find one and report back.
Well I am pretty disappointed. Trying to find this with just my computer was not a good experience. I tried several online vendors and the best I got was at Chevs-of-the-40s. They have a complete rebuitd kit for $113.00. I'll bet if you call Bow Tie Bits he probably has one. But I didn't see any online. I know I have in the past. I would try the Swap Meet here too. | | |
