well got my glass for my two trucks from lmc all 4 windshields were broke and one back window has two chips in the edge should i try to sand the chips smooth or just install and hope it dosent crack or tell them i want another one im hoping the answer is sand the chip out or leave it alone what would you do they did a bad job of packaging the glass i hated seeing all that new glass all cracked up im wondering if i could take them to a local shop and have some wing windows cut from the broken peaces

I would call the vendor and ask them how they want to resolve the problem first. The steps after that would depend on their answer.

Do not try to use any glass with a chip in the edge. There is close to a 100% chance that a crack will eventually start from an edge-chip.

I have received many curved windshields and flat pieces of glass from several vendors. They all arrived safely. LMC is a good company and they should be able to do better.

Call the vendor first, they may not want to pay to ship the broken stuff back.

32fire2 Check a local glass maker.I saved a lot of $$.Took the old ones for pattern and wa,,la,perfict match,excep when I put my out side sun visor on with the clamp around the center bar(crack 1 1/2 " long but looks origional) will replace this winter.

The chip has to be pretty bad for it to crack.
If you don't want to hassel with returning, take them to a local glass shop and have them wet grind the 2 spots.

I agree with beaver, a local can do it cheaper and better. LMC has a local shop do their's. So your cutting out the middle man.
