For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 31 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 31 | I bought this reproduction "Fulton Style" outside visor for my '53 3100 off a vendor on ebay almost 2 years ago for $300.00. I took it to a body shop guy and he gave me a price of $200 to paint it and fix what he said were numerous defects in the visor. He kept the visor for about 4 weeks, then said he didn't want to fool with it as it would be too much work to fix all the small imperfections in the visor. I decided that I would just paint it myself and ignore the dings that were on it. I think it came out pretty good and the little dings here and there don't really bother me, since the truck is more of a daily driver than a show truck. Do you have the dashboard prism installed so you can still see traffic lights? | | | | | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 31 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 31 | Laroke, I don't have the dashboard peeper installed. I'm not sure if they really work that good anyhow. For right now, I'm either stopping way short of the traffic light or bending down and looking under (a real pain in the neck). | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 2,031 | wayne that looks sweet. how's the view straight out the front. i'm doing my aftermarket visor (a daily driver so we don't care either) & i'm remaking some of the brackets. i'm a tall guy but that visor height (you have ) looks OK for caroline. I raised the center section right @ the middle bracket so i could see better (while on the drivers side .... if she'll let me drive it).
