Hi guys! Have posted this before, hope this time to figure something new out. My gas gauge does not work very often. I have rewired my ground many times. I believe I have a good ground. If I drive for a while some times it kicks in. Last time I drove, it came on after a couple starts and maybe 30 miles. Restarted truck next day and it worked. Started truck later that day, nothing. I have a brand new sending unit, think it is bad? Any ideas are greatly appreciated.

My 61's gauge gets stuck sometimes, and then when I hit the dash right above the gauge it works again. I am not sure what that means but I think that I must have a loose wire or my gauge is gummed up inside. Oh well...another project.

I do have new gauges. I do not have loose wires at the gauge. I did check that.

t6ake the wire off of the gauge with the key on and touch it to the ground and if the gauge goes all the way full then your problem is not in the wires, what year truck is this on?
