I am trying to decide on a dist. for my inline-six. I am building a sort of retro rod with a moderate cam from Patrick's, Fenton headers, Clifford alum. intake, th350 tranny, and later Gm rear end. I have been looking at a Mallory (part no. 5018002) magnetic breakerless w/ mech advance. I don't have enuff info on it to decide whether or not to use it. I am open to any input or suggestions. Thanks, Wes | | |

I don't know if it is still made, but Patricks uses to sell the Unilite wich vacuum advance. You could also buy one for a 250 and have the end machined down to fit the 235.

Mallory now makes a few points and electronic dists that will fit the 235. Another option is to find a stock dist in good shape, and give it a recurve and a Petronix retrofit kit.
My advice is to stay away from the modded V6 'mini' HEI that Langdon's sells, as one I installed in my 235 contributed to an engine failure.
