my 52 3speed on floor open driveshaft has a backward shift pattern-3rd is where reverse should be-1st is where 2nd should be-2nd is where is should be-is this hard to change to normal shift pattern? Its ok if I drive a lot but when I change from my other truck with normal H pattern I grind gears for awhile

Do you have a aftermarket floor shifter or the original column shift?,it sounds like someone has flipped the arms comming out of the trans. All you will have to do is reverse the arms from the way they are now and the problem should be solved. grin
