Also, the 1947-55.1 trucks were officially called "Advance Design" (not Advanced) by GM. The term Art Deco for the 41-46 trucks was never used by GM, it is simply a term that Bolters use.

They didn't officially call them First and Second series like they did with the 55s, but there was an "early" 47 model (basically a 46) and a "late" 47 (which was an AD).

Many of the exterior fastners on the engines were screws that looked just like the screws used to assemble cast iron stoves- stove bolts.

They might have been first registered (for a license) as 1947 truck but they were most likely referred to as 1946 models by Chevrolet. It looks like the only 1947 model referred to in Chevrolet literature was the new "Advance-Design" series of trucks ( 1947 to \'55-1st series ).
