can anyone give me some idea of how to decifer this number? all the vin crunchers i've been able to access are for chevy's not gmc's.

The cc indicates 1941 and later. The 102 indicates 1/2 half ton long bed. The wheel base is 125-1/4 inch. 14440 is the serial number.
Serial number should be stamped on the right hand frame side rail above the front spring.
Do not know the year or month of mfg date.
