A while back somebody pointed out a site where you could find out how many, for example, 1953 Chevrolet 3100's were manufactured. Does anyone know how to find that kind of info? Can't relocate the site.

It's my understanding that the 50's production numbers weren't as well recorded as the earlier years.. which would be why you're having difficulty locating them.

I've heard of a few books that list this kind of information, citing 'insider' sources, and I think we have a member here who posted approximate numbers once with the numbers skewed to prevent 'theft' of his/her stolen numbers.. seemed a little too 'cloak & dagger' for a site with a bunch of dudes sharing information.

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

Only figures I can find are totals, 1953 is 361,833, and of those, 15,523 were sedan deliveries. But that total number is all models, not just 3100s. My source is the Chevrolet Pickup Red Book.
