These are older pictures of my truck, while it was still my uncle's - and running. I'll get my digital camera and take some pics of it now, when I get it trailered over here.

Thanks, Robbie.

lol, the only reason it's mine now is that my uncle gave up on it when the axle broke. The engine needed work, the transmission was shot (he thought at the time, but as it turns out it MAY not be as bad as we thought). And he didn't have the time to work on it non-stop, or even a way to transport another rear-end/axle out there. It's sat for about 10 years now.

Very nice Robbie. Good looking truck. I like the looks of the 60s hood

I used to inspect bridges for the highway department and love 60-66 trucks. Now, if you could git a big buck and an old rifle in the pitcure...

Glad ya'll liked 'em. My other uncle (not the one who had the truck) is a professional photographer, so he always is looking for a good picture. I know that he has several other pictures of the truck looking really cool, just got to find them and scan them.

nice to see another 61 short bed, not a lot of them out there, mine has the later style hood, but other than that they are twins. I barely ever see one like mine, only a few in recent memory. You are lucky that it is a family truck, mine is new to the family. I figure that when I get old and crazy then it can be a family truck and it will have family history, but for now it is just my old pickup. I think that the 61's have a charm and style all their own, and in a shortbox they are very unique. Good lookin' truck.
