I got a sales flyer from Chevs of the 40s and they show and state that they will be carrying a full 5-window can soon! Cool. I bet expensize. they are only ones with a full one-peice floor pan and a few other patch panels that I have seen. The full floor is almost $500, bet the cab will be a $2,000 price. What you think? Wonder what shipping would be on that? Think, OVERSIZE!

You're dreaming. I bet they will be more like $10,000.

According to Dynacorn, the 47-53 cab will be available late Spring. There's no pricing info yet. For reference, their '69 Camaro convertible body lists for $10,500, though Year One sells it for about $9500 (plus shipping).

better buy up all the good trucks right now they will be gold in a few years

If they go for $2000 I'll order five right now. Our shop time is dirt cheap($30/hr) compared to a lot of others but we could never get a cab in "NEW" condition in 70 hours. Cab corners, floor pan work, kick panels, lower cowl work, and someone that's used the top for a trampoline, just to name the typical problems, not counting repairable sheet metal damage and butchered dashes. Since the only right place for rust is in the trash can and not treated with rust killers or converters, getting to an all solid metal point can easily take a couple hundred hours. Of course that's our living so we won't be rushing out to buy one no matter what the price.

For me, the good news is that there is enough interest for them to do that. I am putting my guess at between $7500 and $10,000. The Camaro body is much more complicated even though they reduced the number of components. In another truck item, there are wild variations between the listed prices for new doors right now.

You can already buy the back top of a five-window cab, cut out the three window and weld in the five window. I can't remember where I saw the patch panel for that, might have been LMC.

You can get the inside and outside of the top half of a five window, which includes the corners and the back glass. Might have been Chevy Duty?

Actually, even the cab panels are stamped by Dynacorn, and Chevs of the 40s sells 'em along with Tuckers. The complete cabs will be priced at or above $10k, at least according to Tuckers. Dynacorn had the cab at SEMA, but didn't want any press on it at the time, so info was sketchy back then, and pretty much still is. However, Chevs of the 40s says they're selling the new AD front fenders quicker than they can stock 'em, but I doubt the cabs will perform as well.

I'm surprised that it would be worth it for them to tool up for 47-53 cabs.These can still be found for a reasonable price,although maybe not as many in the 5 window.

Repro steel 1932 Ford roadster bodies I can see,because there is a huge demand and there just aren't any in farmer's fields anymore.
With the ridiculous prices musclecars are going for,it's not surprising to see Camaro bodies coming out.Wait for '67 Mustang fastbacks and '70-'74 'Cudas next.

If you can buy a decent AD truck for $10,000,paying the same for a just a cab shell seems nuts to me,but I'm not their market either.

It seems using the $10,500 for the camaro convertible as a metric, you can expect around $10,000 for the AD shell. From everything I've seen, the hardtop stuff is more difficult to do than the convertible stuff. It seems, though, that this would price itself right out of a market. Where a shop would be hard-pressed to repair a body in under 70 hours, I don't think the same would be said about repairing it in under 300 hours.
