I ordered a Offy Valve Cover on Wednesday 25 January
and payed instantly.
on Feb.7 they say:
Due to current backlog with the foundry, the valve cover will be completed
and shipped towards the middle of next month.
I still have no cover, they don´t answer mails, they don´t answer the phone, they don`t call back, they got my money. :mad:
Seems like some companys follow the same pattern when they can`t provide what they sold (remeber the Wayne Co.) instead of keeping kontakt with their customers. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | I'll tell you what Stovebold, The Pate Swap Meet is coming up at the end of April and if you haven't reached any satisfaction from those people let me know. You haven't mentioned what engine it's for but that meet is so big one can usually find anything that's not completely offbeat. If I find one I'll send it to you and you can pay AFTER you receive it. I've been in the resto/streetrod business for thirty years and these types hurt everyone. If they had any brains they could look at shops on the up and up and see that they have treated the owners very well. I know mine has with most cars in the shop now from repeat customers and a two and one half year waiting list.

I can understand your frustration. I tried to order a dual carb offy intake a few years ago from another vendor and suffered the same back order problem. It turned out that the foundry dosen't cast the obscure parts, such as the valve cover you are waiting for and the intake I was waiting for, until they have enough orders to cast a complete run.
