Let's keep the General Truck Talk posts about General Truck Talk. Not political issues which are best in the Greasy Spoon. I just moved a topic accordingly. And let's use the specific forums accordingly. Have no fear your posts will be ignored. I look at almost all the forums whenever I log on.

If you want to know about non standard modifications, the HiPo Shop is the place to be.

If you want to know about paint and refinishing - then please use the Paint and Body Shop.

If you want to know about electrical equipment, then please post on the Electrical Bay.

The reason is that if we keep our posts in their proper boxes, the searches for archival information will be so much faster. Especially when so and so recommended a paint product or wiring harness and you can't remember the product name.

This is also a public forum, one that everyone can read, so if you use questionable language then I might edit it first, or I might just delete the post. Please think of your post as one your granny might read.

Also concur. If a topic in "General Truck" starts to veer off topic, we'll need to move it to the Spoon.

Any modification from stock factory condition is non-standard by definition. Purists are the tiny minority here. How should the topics be divided between General and HiPo?

I think if you are repowering with a rat motor or changing the suspension to a modern set up or 4 link rear with big tires, etc, that would qualify to me as high performance.

Another example would be the bear claw latch question seems to me could be an interiors or paint and body. If I wanted to find out about that topic I would look at those forums first.

A starter motor question could to me be electrical. Bed wood or box questions - the bed forum. What you did this weekend, etc, that could easily be greasy spoon talk. But I am not going to start sorting topics and moving them about nor am I going to woof specifically (since this could be considered a woof) at anyone about it. If you think to post in a more specific forum, great, if not, no problem. Better we have the info posted so everyone can learn from it whatever the forum.

It seems that there are more than enough questions for this forum to find out information about the peculiarities of these old trucks. Frame, brakes, transmissions, how to monkey with the okie seal, etc.

However where things are posted are mostly minor concerns at best. I am more worried about language, flames, and rants.
