( camber ? )- the tops are out and the bottoms are in . It looks even on both wheels.I don't see any adjustment and wonder if the axel is bent . Is there some way of fixing this ? The Shop Manual explains how to measure this. Make shure the thrust washers are on the bottom of the axle.

Does anyone have a photo of their axle I can compare mine to ? My thrust bearings are on the bottom. I centre punched a mark to show which side was which when I began disassembly .My axle does have an upward curve to it ; is this normal ? Pictures on internet manuels show a straight axel but I wonder if this ease of defining the mechanics.

All of my bent axles had a downward curve (it smiled at me), but a good front end guy was able to fix them without heating. Better yet, can you post a photo of your axle?

all straight axils i have seen, i remember as straight across. in a fraim shop i worked, we would adjust camber by bending the axil. had a special brace that chained on each end and jack in the middle. no heat. you need to have measuring tools to adjust front geometry. but sight lines work for geting it close.
i don,t remember enough bend to be seen.
