as you all know I've had a problem with backfiring. Ive had 45 really good posts and alot of enthusiasum in getting me squared away.I would like to take a moment of your time to stop and let me thank each and everyone of you,I am not very emotional or compassionate most of the time, but this site is like a family, not in the since of being related to each other, but all having the same goal and outcome in the end"The ol' Stovebolt" running again. Alot of you have more experience then alot of the rest of us , thank you all for that. John, Peggy, and of course Paul I thank you for this great site.PPL like Tony, Ol Proffit,Oly, Racecarl,Mechainiac, and of course my mentor (laughing) Phat and anyone else I overlooked. I was in Nam and I worked in the Fire Dept for 24 yrs as a Captain,Then I got injured, BUT only those 2 things in my life plus this site has the Family feeling to it. Oh we all can go off on a tangent ,but a stranger had better not mess with one of the bolters or the wrath of J.H.'s Golden Wrenches will smack them up side the head.(Laughing)If John and Peggy will allow it, since I cant directly pay for services rendered I would like to send them a donation to help the site and I ask that others follow suit if they wish to or can afford to. I will email John for the address to mail my check to. Again you will never see me mushy again, so enjoy it today grin wink smile

Hi Alan:

Went to your homepage...nice truck! I have a 50 1/2 ton that I'll be starting on in the Spring. Brakes, Exhaust and probably a million other things to get her road-worthy. I was wondering what make and size tire your're running. I like the look of a performance (wider) radial and want to do the same at some point. Keep up the great work! Dave

Couldn't agree with you more. I posted an electrical problem, and two days later I was out at the truck and had it fixed in 30 minutes!
What a great site. This is what the internet community used to be like, prior to the www.

Already ahead of ya. I got a block on lay-a-way at Service Merchandise. Its made outta that cubic inch zirconium stuff. Just as good as cast iron, and my girlfriend won't know the difference.
