Howdy all!!,,Anyone know how to identify a GMC engine,,what size engines did they use back then????,,I'm asking because i'm contemplating selling it out of the truck,,,Much Obliged. cool cool cool

The serial number is by the distributor. The first 3 numbers is the engine size. What sizes did they use? 228, 248, 270, 302,...
If stock...228.
