| | | | Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 55 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Mar 2006 Posts: 55 | have I bought here , I had my new project delivered yesterday and I thought my truck would be easy to ID (48 - 53), but it may be some kind of Canadian freakshow , the badge on the hood says 1300 , and the metal tag inside the drivers door says its a model 1314 , SN# 3131402XXX , and all along I thought it was just a plain old 5 window chev 1/2 ton? any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a 47 manual, your SN# shows that it a 1953, Chev, 1/2 ton, 116" wheel base, pickup delivery. My 52 has 1300 on the hood and 1314 on the door also, don't know why, but my father bought my truck new so I know nothing was changed. Hope this helps. There was a question about SN# about a week back, and one of the guy's had a link to a on line SN# page, look it up.
