I live in a small town in the boonies so don't have easy access to a speedo repair shop.
I've got the original speedometer. I'm pretty sure it's in working order.
The original cable which is siezed and probably broken in a few spots, and a turbo 400 automatic transmission (bolted to a chevy 400 small block).
Anyone know where I might find the parts to make up a cable that will mate up to the speedo and trany, or someone that could make one up for me.
Any info on this would be most welcome.

It's been years since I bought one and I don't know if such a thing is still available but it's probably worth a phone call to you favorite parts house.

The original cable will fit. You can get one at any parts store by measuring the lenght & telling the counter man what kind of ends you have. They are also available at the speciatie stores by application. The metal caseings are easier to work with & look more original but most of them come in plastic.
