I think.
It's not really all that clear, but it does look an awful lot like mine, and not like the flatter two-piece off of a '41.
I could tell you better with a picture of the parking light housing and the passenger side door.
You don't see too many of these Jimmies anymore. This is a cool find. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2001 Posts: 439 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Apr 2001 Posts: 439 | Thanks Brendan. I can't give you any details cause I only talked to the old fellow on the phone. He's had it for 25 years. I will go look at it sometime and get some better pictures. Nice truck by the way. Saw it in the other thread. Thanks! It should be something like 'CC 101 2****'. Post it up and we'll tell you what it is for sure. It should have a 228 GMC motor in it (unless it's Canadian) and either a 3 on the floor-synchronized, or a 4 on the floor-non synchro. If it's a 4 speed it will have a lever and rod to allow reverse to be engaged, right on the shift lever. No lever/rod, it's the 3 speed. You'll notice 2 wiper motor shafts. Standard on a GMC. Pass side was optional on a Chevy. Check out the bed. It's probably metal-get a shot of it when you go. It would be standard from the factory that way. There are some shots of my '45 in my album here. http://community.webshots.com/user/apacheclimber | | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 1,158 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 1,158 | Originally posted by Colin's Classic Haulers: Thanks Brendan. Got any more info on the grill situation? So there was no three on the tree in the Art Deco series? Are GMC's truly more rare then Chevy's?
