The bends are ok and yes the air will pass by them as if they are not even there.
Bends and kinks are two different things and if you have a line that is bent to the point of restriction you will need to replace the line.
The speedy bleeder does let everything in the line out and does not let anything back in. So if you crack them open you can bleed the line of all air until you get a good clean stream of fluid and then close it without worrying about air sucking back into the line through the bleeder when you release the brake pedal.
Greatest invention since sliced bread!!
Good luck. Hobert

Loosen the bleeder put a little hose over it & put it in a bottle or can. Then slowly push the pedal down. Make shure the master cyl. does not run out of fluid. There are 2-3 different sizes of bleeders. Make shure you get the right ones. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. The key to any bleeding is to "take your time" when pumping out the air. On my 54 with a completely new upgraded system I used 12 slow pumps to clear each of the four wheels. 12 pumps, refill the m/c, do the next wheel, etc. However, if your using a step-bore m/c the procedure is completely different. A s/b m/c can be identified by a larger diameter bore close to the mount and a slightly smaller bore towards the front. If a step-bore is not properly bleed it will be difficult if not impossible to completely bleed the wheel cylinders.
I would suggest you get 4 bleeders and start out just like you had replaced the entire system. 12 pumps on each wheel should remove all the old contaminated fluid and give you the braking power and reliability you need. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 390 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2000 Posts: 390 | They didnt have the corect size in stock for the 66 so ill have to pick them up tomorow.Ill order the front two then.
