I used to follow a website showing progress of work on a 66 by some guys in High Point, NC. The site is still there but the guys haven't updated it in nearly a year. It was "Gary's Garage" I know these must still be around. Does any body know Gary or where to contact him and is there anybody else keeping an ongoing project we can follow?

Hey Cribb, welcome to the Bolt.

You won't find any finer ongoing project notes then these two:

http://www.laroke.com/larryk4674/1998/billybob.htm

http://alanhorvath.com/54chevy/index.php

Both are chock full of notes and how-to's and if you have any q's they are friendly guys willing to help out.

What've you got for a ride?

Thanks guys,

yeah, the website for garys garage is what I'm talking about. I watched their progress as they added new pics religiously every week or 2. I'm more curious about the final project. I know that as involved as Gary was in this and other projects he is still got to be around. I communicated with him a few times and got some good ideas. I am going to check out these other sites now. Thanks again.

I have 66 SWB I bought about Sept 04 envisioning driving it places while my daddy drove his. A month later he was diagnosed with pancreatic and liver cancer and died this past January. I also have his now and have an incentive to restore both and get my son involved. He's only 5 now so I keep reminding myself that his intrest is not going to be what I want it to be. The cool thing under the seat along with an accumulation of 40 years of stuff I found a tag that said Evans 66. My sons name is Evan. I know that this will be his truck and I'll drive my Daddy's. Like all great ol trucks I want to name them and I got an idea for both but still considering a couple possibilities.

I want to get this post back up so some one else may see it and poosibly fill me in on the truck from Gary's garage. I would just like to see the final prject as I watched it so closely when they were working on it in a regular basis.
