Howdy Can anyone out in stovebolt land tell me if a 1965 Chevy c10 cab and dash is the same as a 1965 GMC Cab? I've been told that the instrument clusters are different

Thanks Art

lockman1958:

The factory fit-up for the '65 GMC cab & dash and the '65 Chevy cab & dash are not the same. The dash assembly from either will fit the other, however the dash gauge or warning light clusters are not interchangeable. The cab itself, minus the dash and dash cluster (and the VIN) is the same in the '65 GMC and '65 Chevy. The '65 GMC dash has an eyebrow over the drivers side, whereas the '65 Chevy dash is the same height from A pillar to A pillar. I have one of each and can provide photos of each if interested.

Pics of GMC Stock GMC Instrument Cluster <~~~ Can be found there. If you have a Chevy you will see the differance. And NO the GMC Instrument Cluster will not fit either style of Chevy dash. GMC only used the one Dash, but three Cluster, as can be seen @ the above link.

Some of Us GMC Owners have taken to using the Big Truck Cluster in te light truck for a custom setup like seen here ~~~> Custom GMC Instrument Cluster .
