I have a complete 71 c-10 frame. Does anyone know how much i would have to narrow the frame and/or shorten it to set the 47 cab on it?

How wrong depends on which C-10 you have and which AD you want. Likewise if you are building a bed, the rear width might not matter either.
The front track width is 1-1/2 or 2 inches too wide, but if you find wheels with the right offset some guys feel its close enough.
Creating mounts to put the cab and fenders on that frame will be a substantial project.
