When I use the floor jack on my 1/2 ton I jack it from the center of the axle to bring my front up, and under the pumpkin for getting the rear off the floor. Are these safe points to lift from? Are there better points to lift from, or am I doing this correctly? I'm always certain to use jackstands for safety.

I use the same jack points; and, I also always use jack stands. The placement of the jackstands is dependent on what I am working on underneath the truck.
