What have others done with this PTO?
Will the whole shebang fit in my 55.1 without cutting anything?
Can I just remove the PTO and cover the hole if I don't want it?
Can I just let it sit there and not use it without a problem?

Or you can remove the unit, make a blind plate and close the opening. If you have the PTO removed you can put it into a box and mail it to me. I always can use a spare one for my dump truck. | | |

You can leave it in like Fritz said, or you can take it out and find a cover for it. If you're not going to use it, I'd recommend putting an ad in the swap meet, there is some demand for it. You could probably work out a trade for the cover plate, too.
