Offenhauser or other wise, I'd like to know if the cover is perfectly FLAT on the inner side OR if there is a 1/8th relief as with an original pressed steel cover?

Any input would be appreciated,
whizzerick

I do not know that, but the people at Clifford Perfromance have a cool one that has a matching valve cover, and they say "chevrolet" in a nice script, but look very custom. Those are the ones I am going to get, someday.

A 216 side cover won't fit on a 235/261 due to the rocker oil line fitting. It will need a notch in the back side where the lump is.

Hahahaha! Am I THAT transparent?
Yes, I am working on a little something for my new engine. There was nothing out there specifically for the 261, so I decided to make it!

This is the initial design:

Initial logo design, may (will) change:

And new pattern - pattern for logo will be recessed - flush with fins (I like that logo better):

It's a lot of work, but a lot of fun... Stay tuned for more of Whizzerick's Foundry Adventures! grin

FK, it's just a hobby...
It did, however, bring me back to the main reason I became a Graphic Designer: it's a hands-on, creative output.

The '53 is Forester Green, but will soon be blue!
