Can anyone tell me if the rear fenders are the same for 39 1/2 ton pickup and a carry all suburban?

GM part number on the back side is # 599122.

I'm new at this so quit laughing!!

Thanks Ray

Ray,
Barry should be along soon to confirm, but as I recall they're not the same. For '39 and '40 (I restored a '39 for my first truck) the Suburban uses the same rear fenders as the panel/screen side delivery and they are narrower than the pickup fenders.

We were all new at this once, so noone is laughing. They laugh at me sometimes, but that's okay -- I deserve it. And I'm too dumb to care.

grin

No Ray, the pickup rear fenders have a 90* flange that bolts to the side of the PU box. Panel/Sub/Canopy rear fenders don't have a flange and bolt up into the wheel opening much the same as a Chev. car fender does.

#599122 is a '39-'46 1/2-ton and 3/4-ton panel right rear fender if I remember right. I hope you aren't looking for '39 PU rear fenders, they are a little difficult to find in good shape. frown
