Just got a new steering box for the 61 Apache. Seems to me I can just remove the old and bolt on the new in the same position. Anything I need to know before doing this?

If you are just swapping the old manual box for a new manual box, as the Haynes book is fond of saying....installation is the reversal of removal. If you are adding power steering, you'll need a REZ kit.

You will need a pitman arm puller to remove it
from the pitman shaft.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
