Howdy Bolters,

I'm wondering how accurate the Old Car Price Guide is w.r.t. these old trucks. It seems nutz to see some of the prices listed in there. I thought supply and demand ruled economics and not someones opinion.

It is just what it says ,a guide.Some of the prices seem a way too high,but then if you feel they are too high,watch the Barret Jackson auction next month.One thing to do is read how they classify cars and trucks.A true no.one car is one that is absolutely like new,it is never driven,except maybe on and off of a trailer.These cars are true collectors items.Most of us never see a real no.one car anywhere.some people try to pass off cars as no.one when in fact they are maybe a no.three.I just use this as a guide,when trying to figure out the value of a vehicle.A friend of mine sold his 57 Chevy conv.on Ebay about a year ago.It had just about every option available,and was as close to a no.one car as I have ever seen.I never asked him what he got out of it,but I know he had an $85,000 reserve price on it.

I have used it for years & have a subscription to it. yes most of the prices are higher than they should be but its all in the rating system. You try to buy one rateing lower than you think it really is. There are some models that you can,t buy for the price it gives.
