I came across these pictures on the HAMB and my head is spinning with all kinds of ideas for my '53...

I've always LOVED woodies and I find that combination of wood and painted sheetmetal intoxicating! It's very well executed and the shape mimics very closely that of the original steel bed:

Well, hopefully you'll get a kick out of our next installment to the Clinics -- Making a Stovebolt Bed. We have a few details we are working out but it should be a fun and interesting clinic.

Peg

(That does look nice. Can you do me a favor and after a while change the images to a link. Thanks!)

Peggy, are you saying that they put a strain on stovebolt.com even if they are hosted on my server?

Yes. Because it's *viewed* on stovebolt.com, it comes across as transfer bytes with the hosting company. When it's a LINK, the reader actually is going to look at it on YOUR end with whatever your URL is.

This was a surprise to us five years ago when we had ProHosting. We had a lot of images SHOWN on our site, but housed someplace else (we even got a second domain which we thought would help). We saved server space (which wasn't an issue at all, ever) but the bytes were eating wink us up!

Hence we ask (when possible) to use a link rather than an image. Or at least switch after a short while.

Thanks,
Peg

No problem. I sure wish it didn't matter. I'd love to have the actual pictures in here. Although we do have a secondary problem sometimes and that's when the picture is too wide for the frame and people have to scroll back and forth.

Anyway. Thanks for helping to keep the costs down!

Peg
