In the Filling Station catalog I've seen hood logos offered for my '36 low-cab pickup. They have Chevy blue background paint on the logo. Was that correct for '36? The ones that came with my truck are all chrome.
I also sent away for a firewall vehicle tag and got two of them in the mail. Was there a vehicle i.d. tag somewhere else besides the firewall?
Thanks,
Bruce

Yes, the hood side emblems did have a blue background. If your old ones were all chrome it's because someone removed the paint or it wore off. I've seen them painted other colors to match the color of the truck. I painted mine flat black.

I have a 37, but I believe the 36 was the same. There were two tags under the hood, actually on the right side around the corner from the firewall, but still under the hood. They were about two thirds of the way up from the bottom. If you'll drop me an email, I'll send you a picture of mine. My guess is that if it's the same spot, you may have some holes already there for the two per tag clutch head screws to hold them on.
