I'm selling my 53 3/4 ton on ebay, and a guy want's to know how wide it is. the auction ends today, and I'm gonna be too busy to go and measure it. I assume he wants to know for trailer reasons.

Okay, just re-read the question, he wants to know the width across the tires.

About 70" at the rear tires. The front is narrower by about 6". Rear fender width is just under 75".

Does the winning bidder have to take the load of junk in the bed, too?

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

grin No, We'll have all of that cleaned out when the winning bidder arrives. All cleaned out, and what tires hold air will be aired up. If tires don't hold air, I'll run down and get new (used) tires from the used tire shop, at buyer's expense.
