Seems there's a couple of views by the oldtimers and teckies about the color of dash on my 36 low cab 1/2 ton. Some say black, and some say medium metalic brown. Interior is now dark bruster green..original..some say crinkle paint some say black like fenders..who can be the supreme court on this one?? smile

My 36 GMC has the same color as my fenders and grill, which I believe is Omaha Orange. Other 36 GMC's that I have seen, it appears that the either the body or fender color was used. Don't know if the Chevy's were done differently or not.

Mine is I believe still original color. It's a light brown/tan with a "crinkle" finish. The truck was originally a 1 1/2 ton grain truck manufactured here in Canada. Possibly variations depending on where a truck was built?

The exterior of the truck is /was green.

Another data point for you.
My '37(which I'm pretty sure was original), had dark brown crinkle(wrinkle) paint.
