I called both my local Pronto guy and NAPA guy and both say "We ain't got 'em, we can't get 'em."
AutoZones website suggests they have them.. guess i'll go there and see.. but I suspect they'll be "full size" plugs.
So for you dudes with a 216 and dinky little spark plugs, where did you get 'em?

Nobody had them in stock.. their Autolite, Motorcraft, and even AC Delco cross refrence numbers to that plug ended up being totally wrong. (read normal sized plugs) Champions website only lists the one plug for a 1946 Chevrolet Truck.. 10mm, 1/4" reach, 5/8" hex head Stock number 842, Part Number UY6, OE Gap, .037 When I took the plug into the various auto parts stores, the first thing they'd ask is "Whats this out of, a weed wacker?" to which I replied, "No.. my weed wacker plug is bigger than that!" Anybody else ever seen or heard of these dinky plugs?

Chevs of the Forties and Jim Carter have the little 10mm plugs. I think that Carters are a bit cheaper.

I had the parts guy (a close friend) at my local Chevy dealer confirm that my 216 took champion J11's. Now they are discontinued and now they are replaced by J11C'S which my local UAP carriers.
I found nos J11's on ebay the other day. They should be here soon.
Hope this helps. Rob | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 | Rob,
J11C comes up as a 14mm, 3/8" reach, 13/16" hex head, copper core, which would be the bigger plug.
They appear to be the same reach and thread diameter as the Champion 871's I have in the '46 2 ton, and had in the '50 1/2 ton.. the only difference between the J11C and the 871's is that the 871's are resistor type plugs to help reduce radio frequency interference. (static in the radio).
