For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 946 | Hello, I just purchased a 58 Chevy Panel 3100 with factory NAPCO 4x4 and a PTO winch. It has an 80/20 split front bench seat in it. The upolstery is gone but the frame and springs remain. The seller said it was worth some bucks because they usually come with 50/50 split bench seats. What do you guys think? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 Extreme Gabster | | Extreme Gabster Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,682 | I think somewhere in the world there is a person willing to pay premium jack for that seat.. even with no upolstery.. but it would be worth far more money, to far more people, if it were in good condition.
My guess is anyone willing to pay real money for it would be folks who were doing a 100 point original resto on their trucks, and needed that seat to be "period and model correct".
If you wanna sell it, stick it on eBay and see what happens.. or check eBay from time to time to see if simular seats pop up and see what they sell for.
an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

I need it to finish my 1956 Military Suburban. I have a pickup seat in it now. That is the last part I need to put it back to original. You can see the seat at: www.usarmysignalcorps.com click on the link at the top that says 56 military commo vehicle and page thru the photos. You will see why I want to put it back to original. I take this to many Veterans Events and love to see the looks on their faces when they see it. Thanks. RogerWilco | | |
