on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! My gold '65 shortbox stepside is going under the knife. I'm the worlds WORST body man and I can't paint. BESIDES that, I've got NO eye for bodywork that is considered straight and bodywork that ducks will try to land on. SO, a friend of mine (who IS a master of these tasks and specifically restores / hotrods stovebolts) is going to cut out all my rust, replace with new and paint it over the next coupla months. I'm going with an original blue (no flake) with an off white top. I will help him but in all reality will just try to stay out of his way and worry more about the mechanical side of the truck. Interior will be put back to the original silver tone. Should be NICE when we get done. Wish me LUCK! randy | | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,554 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 1,554 | Lotsa a luck on your venture.Hope it turns out good.I know what you mean about body work and painting,I am also all thumbs at it.One time I did weld up a body and box on a f--- PU,it turned out OK but man it took me forever.Anymore I farm this work out. | | |
