Robert-

I'm sure this will be resounded as I say myself, thank you for your sincere display of professionalism on this board. It speaks volumes of your character, I hope to talk to you soon with respect to my own concerns regarding the recent problems I've dealt with and are now currently facing with my gas tank I just recieved this week from Chevy Duty. I emailed you.

Thank you once again.

J.

Steve,

It is a GM color. Cortez Silver. The color turned out much better than I had imagined. We just recieved our new seat and the final project will be working on the door panels, headliner, etc...Here are a couple of pics of the new seat I had made.

Angie is going to try and contact you today, or at least by Monday and we will get you out a new tank and make things right. I will catch up with your email when I get back to the office early next week.

santacruz...Found the GM code of 986, but was curious on what brand of paint you used..Might be the lighting, but looks like it has a little blue hue to it..
Anyway, what I found was for a 1969 Corvette..
Thanks, Steve

It was a PPG brand paint. I belive that you are correct, that it was used on the Corvette and I alos belive on the Camaro.

Robert probably has it together basically all of the time since he is the manager. It is not always true but a manager at any business should have it together. However, he must shine when communicating here in plain sight of many potential customers. I guess we should ask him for the parts we need and report our issues for him to read here?

Anyone can have an occasional defective part and shipping damage will occur on occasion. That is something I can live with and I don't expect a supplier to have 100% perfect parts with zero shipping issues. Rude and ignorant employees on the phone and and lack of response to requests has been my issues.

So after reading the statement from CD management does this mean I have to change my user login name for this site??? Where will Chevy draw the line? I was thinking about having the words "She thinks my Chevy's sexy" scripted on my tailgate after its painted... does this mean I can't do this now, or will Kenny Chesney be knockin on my door saying "Hey go get me a sander" ??? Just a thought.

That seat looks just like the one I put in my 53 pickup. I got mine from ISS Interior supply in Fort Worth. Call Terry Goetz @ 800 969 0004, good folks and they can hook you up.

The seat is a RodDoors seat. www.roddoors.com
I believe they call it the "Sutter", it retails for about $1400+ in the Ultraleather. We sent them the artwork for the embroidery, which turned out fantastic.

Thats a good lookin' seat.. and looks mighty comfortable, too!

I'm a little too practical to spend $1400 for a seat (hell, i'm pushin' it to spend $1400 on a whole vehicle!) but different strokes for different folks, I guess.

That seat come standard with built in "magic fingers" or something?

an idea is only stupid if you think about it rationally.

I like Chevy Duty too! When I would fly to KC on business (from Orlando), I would make a point of going to their place and picking up parts I needed for my 59 Suburban. Never had a problem and nice people at the counter. Just my 2 cents.

I purpose a merger between stovebolt.com and chevy duty..think about the possiblities. They could offer members a discount and they could call it Stovebolt duty or somthing of the kind. Anyone second the idea?

I am close to Chevy-Duty & buy some parts there. Their over the counter service is great but they have been rude a couple of times through the years.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.

Santacruz,
I would like to suggest that CD provide some show specials or show discounts for parts ordered inperson for those of us who attend gatherings like Goodguys or similar. I think it would be a great way to start up new customers and reward those of us who are already patrons.

santacruz (Mr. Mata)

I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the excellent customer service I have received from your devoted employee, Angie, at Chevy Duty. Angie provided me with her extension (which I use every time I call CD), and she gives me very professional service. I have recently completed (never actually DONE) my '56 3100 Chev., and without a doubt, the majority of parts that I needed for that truck came from "Angie" at CD! I was just on the phone with her yesterday, ordering a few more items, and as usual, she answered with a cheerful voice, ready to take my order. I am not only pleased with Angie's service, I am pleased with the parts I receive at a reasonable price. If what I had ordered didn't work for some reason, I returned the item for credit, with no difficulity at all. Again, as I said earlier in this thread, I like CD! Thank you for the information you have provided.
