My 53 GMC is almost all assembled. Their are a few minor pieces that still have to be put on. One of which is the side window chrome. It is split on the top but I can't figure out how to put it on. I have the the door/window prepared to put the trim in, its just that i'm scared to bend it to far as this stuff is hard to come by. Does anybody have any tricks or tips to get this stuff on without breaking it? Thanks alot!

It should just slide in place and then is screwed on from the inside. An assembly manual is great in these situations.

If you're talking about the exterior reveal moulding that goes over and around the window (pinch welded) opening, you have to suck it up and do it. Put the front on first (narrow angle at the vent end and then the corner above that, lower opposite corner and finally upper rear (with larger overlapping end). It will give just enough to go with gut twisting suspence.
