| | | | Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 8 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Aug 2005 Posts: 8 | In 1969 I replaced the burnt out valves in my Pontiac with GM part number 5841259 valves. I thought these were from a Chev/GMC 302 ??? After 350,000 miles I need to replace two of them. Can anyone either confirm the application or suggest what valves I could use. At the time I was working in a GM Dealership and these valves were a very close match to my originals. The diameter and length was the same. Just the stem was .040 larger. Simple replacement reamm out the guides and change the keepers. I was a great fix for 36 years. Any help or comments appreciated.
