Don't be a stranger and make sure you check out the rest of the site (use the menu bar at the top if you haven't already).
About the manuals -- Personally, I use the shop manual for both of my '49's (3800 and 4400) much more than the assembly manual. Besides, the assembly manual I got covers the 54 and 55 1st series, which seem to be enough different from the '47 through '53 that the book is not that useful to me. So make sure you check the maual to see that it covers the first series AD's and not the latter.
Be sure to check the Tech Tips, too. Woogeroo has put together a recommended reading list you might find helpful.
