I have seen a website with directions to fab your own mount and I have seen a kit sold in a catalog, but for the life of me I can't remember where or find either.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I feel like I'm losing it!

They show up on eBay often, and I'd suggest watching there. You'll also need a dimpled fender if you don't already have one.
And sometimes if you PM people who respond to questions like this you'll find they might be able to be of even more help...

The Tech Tip article was one that I couldn't recall where I saw it. I will check EBay but probably end up fabing one from the sketches in the Chevy Truck Assembly Manual if I can't find it ready made.
