Is there a source of info on different 16 inch -6 bolt wheel patterns used on Chevy trucks? Just bringing the topic to the top. BW

I was referring to the number of cuts / slots around the wheel circumference. I have 2 types - 4 and 8 slots around the hub. I was wondering if the 8 slot type is an earlier offering. Hard to get close up pics from 35-55 truck photos. BW
